Today, Jeanneau announced its first new sailboat model for 2008 – the Sun Odyssey 45 DS – a model boasting a truly innovative interior design!

Two world renowned naval architects have partnered with the Jeanneau Design team and contributed their considerable talents to create the elegant new Sun Odyssey 45 DS. Philippe Briand designed the boat’s hull and interior, and Vittorio Garroni designed the fluid, modern lines of the boat’s exterior.

This next generation in the Sun Odyssey line features a new development in interior design, all while remaining true to the authentic elements that have become the hallmarks of a Jeanneau, refinement in every detail.

Light.

New models in the Sun Odyssey DS series are designed for maximum interior volume and luminosity.

The spacious interior is enhanced by exceptional lighting in the saloon, where a raised coachroof design, wrap-around windows and large hull ports create a bright, airy atmosphere. Pleasing forms and attractive lines further define the interior living space for comfort and a sense of well-being.

Interior furnishings accent the warm tones of Fine Teak® and the quality woodwork that is synonymous with Jeanneau.

A sailor’s touch.

This new model is designed in the seafaring tradition of Jeanneau sailboats, fitted with numerous running rails, furnishings crafted with rounded edges, and a companionway created using weatherproof materials for durability and easy upkeep.

Entirely conceptualized using CATIA® design software, the Sun Odyssey 45 DS is an outstanding sailboat endowed with numerous elegant design features and demonstrating excellent performance. It is offered in two versions, with 2 cabins/2 head compartments or 3 cabins/2 head compartments.

This new sailboat will be presented in a special preview at the following 2007 fall boat shows: Cannes, France; Southampton, UK; La Rochelle, France; and Genoa, Italy.
