CATIA IGES Interface 1 (IG1) is a Platform 1 product which exchanges data in the Initial Graphic Exchange Specification (IGES) neutral format. It helps users working in a heterogeneous CAD / CAM environment. You can read / import an IGES for re-use of geometrical information to create datum feature (wireframe, surface and trim surface) in a part (3D) or a drawing (2D). You can also write / export an IGES file from a part (3D) or a drawing (2D). Microsoft® Windows® compliant access to IGES file through File open and File Save As, users can perform reliable bi-directional 2d and 3D data exchange between dissimilar systems with direct and automated access. IGES Version 5.3 is supported.
