This year CDC participated as an exhibitor at the 2006 Eastern Cape Industrial Exhibition, held in the ‘friendly city’ of Port Elizabeth.  This exhibition is held bi-annually with an array of exhibitors from various areas of business including electrical & electronics, chemicals & plastics, mechanical & material handling, safety, health & environment. Amongst them were Volvo, Iscar, Haas CNC services, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and Siemens, just to name a few.

With the increasing amount of businesses in Port Elizabeth gearing up to meet the growing economy, CDC believed this exhibition to be a great opportunity to showcase its PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions to a market that is growing and becoming increasingly more competitive.  

A large amount of CATIA customers are situated in the Eastern Cape, with OEM’s such as Volkswagen and Daimler Chrysler and many of their suppliers that have chosen CATIA as their CAD/CAM solution. The exhibition was a fantastic opportunity for suppliers, toolrooms and entrepreneurs to catch a glimpse of the latest technology and tools available that can enable them to be more productive and to benefit from the growth in the region. 

CDC was delighted with the positive response that was received from the visitors to its stand.
